Poverty Data for Louisiana
Last month, the U.S. Census Bureau released its 2007 report on income, poverty and health insurance. On Monday, September 22, staff from the Louisiana Budget Project and the Community Solutions Institute discussed the poverty numbers for Louisiana and also highlighted some programs that are working to lift Louisiana citizens out of poverty. Joining the call was Charmaine Caccioppi, president of the Louisiana Association of United Ways.
