Alysia Wilson
Occupation: Membership Relations Manager, Bossier Chamber of Commerce
Education: B.A. in Mass Communications from Louisiana State University, Shreveport
Growing up in a small town taught Alysia Wilson many things in life, but most importantly: no matter where you’re from, you must believe in yourself while dreaming and aspiring the impossible. These beliefs have led Wilson to a passion in life – helping youth know their worth and how to achieve their goals. As a youth advisor in her local church and a mentor in the community, Wilson has found herself saddened at times at the lack of confidence in today’s youth, therefore giving her the drive to aid youth in finding that inner light that will lead them to endless
possibilities. The success of communities depends on the youth of tomorrow’s ability to lead and believe. As Marin Luther once said, “Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.” Alysia’s apple tree is the time she invests in youth.
