Standards Workgroups

LANO is offering free workgroup sessions to nonprofits who plan on applying for Standards for Excellence Voluntary Certification. These are not training sessions, but a designated time for a LANO representative to:

• answer your specific certification questions
• help you organize your binder
• provide you with personalized assistance through the certification process.

Each month, organizations will focus on a specific standard , answering all of the questions in that section and bringing the materials to the workgroup for LANO staff to review. The 2010 schedule of workgroups will be posted here before January 15, 2010.

Requirements for an organization to participate in a workgroup:

• Must have completed the Standards for Excellence Overview and Application Clinic
• Must be planning to submit a binder for the April 2009 Certification Application Deadline
• Should bring the binder to each workgroup session for review and feedback
