The two-day agenda for LANO's 2013 Member Meeting and Institute training, titled Pull Together Louisiana, is now available online.
This statewide professional development opportunity will be held in Baton Rouge, November 7-8, and is presented by the Louisiana Association of United Ways, LANO and other community supporters, including the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation and Whitney Bank.
The 2013 agenda features the expertise of FSG, an internationally known nonprofit consulting firm specializing in strategy, evaluation, and research that create greater and more effective social change.
The firm's Managing Directors John Kania and Kyle Peterson, along with staff Consultant Autumn McDonald will lead attendees in a detailed exploration of the multi-sector collaboration model known as Collective Impact.
The event will open Thursday afternoon, November 7, with an introduction to the theory and practice of Collective Impact, including activities designed to instruct nonprofit, public service and private sector professionals in ways to solve complex social problems by establishing a common agenda and partnering toward shared goals.
The second day of training will begin Friday morning, November 8, with concurrent breakout sessions that dive deep into applications of Collective Impact in the fields of healthcare and education.
The dual intensive sessions will resume after a mid-day LANO Member Meeting, Luncheon and Keynote Address from FSG's John Kania.
The event will adjourn at 3:30 PM, Friday afternoon.
