The Capital Area Corporation Recycling Council, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge to Host "America Recycles Day" Electronics Event

Posted By Lluvia Peveto, Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council, Monday, November 11, 2013

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge and the Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council are going to "reuse, recover and recycle" on Saturday, Nov. 16, for America Recycles Day.

The two nonprofits are teaming up to offer a free electronics recycling event to greater Baton Rouge-area residents during Habitat ReStore's 10th anniversary celebration. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Habitat Restore parking lot, located at 4301 Airline Hwy in Baton Rouge.

The local America Recycles Day bash will be featured at the Restore location as part of CACRC’s effort to promote a "green" lifestyle through electronics recycling and to support Habitat's "reuse" mission, according to Nancy Jo Craig, executive director for the CACRC.

For more information contact Katie Tressier at (225) 927-6651 and katie@habitatbrla.org; or Lluvia Peveto at (225) 379-3577 and lluzpeveto@cacrc.com.
