LSU Student Group Seeks Capital Area Nonprofits in Need of Volunteers

Posted By LANO Volunteer Network, Thursday, January 16, 2014

Geaux BIG Baton Rouge is a one-day event (March 22, 2014) that unites LSU students and Baton Rouge residents through service to strengthen the university’s relationship with the community. Volunteers' efforts focus on real needs by working on projects identified by Baton Rouge residents in areas including Old South Baton Rouge, Mid-City, and North Baton Rouge.

Geaux BIG, an LSU student organization, is looking for homeowners and nonprofit organizations in the Baton Rouge area that need assistance with yard work, minor house repairs, painting, moving furniture, and other tasks that volunteers could be utilized for in an effort to say 'thank you' for the work you do in the community.

There is no cost associated with submitting a Job Request.  Deadline extended to Jan 24, 2014.

If you think this is something your organization would be interested in participating in, please complete the Job Request Form or click the link below to complete the electronic form. Please also feel free to share this form with other organizations or community members who could benefit from the volunteers.
