Capital One Bank is partnering with the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations (LANO) to provide community based organizations with training and tools to strengthen their capacity for increased mission delivery and greater sustainability.
When & Where: Training sessions will be held beginning in March in Monroe and Lake Charles. Sessions will be held from 3 pm-6 pm to allow for board member participation in the training.

- March 25 - Fund Development and Cyber Grant - Lake Charles
- March 27 - Fund Development and Cyber Grant – Monroe
- April 8 - Financial Management - Lake Charles
- April 10 - Financial Management - Monroe
Organizations successfully completing the training will receive a certificate of completion and be eligible for a special grant opportunity to continue their organizational development.
A session on Capital One Bank funding opportunities and the Cybergrants application and reporting process will be held following the training series.
Nonprofit Training Requirements:
Assign teams of 2 to attend the training series, including an Executive Level staff member and the appropriate Board Member for the topic.
Organizations will be expected to attend the entire training series.
Groups without paid staff members are still eligible to participate.
Have 501(C)3 status or demonstrated intent of seriously pursuing 501(C)3 status.
Fifteen organizations in each location will be selected to participate through an application process.
