Capital Area United Way’s Board of Directors announced a milestone for the organization in raising $8,946,147 in the 2013 workforce campaign, an increase from 2012 and an end to a six-year fundraising slide.
"For the first time in several years, we have achieved a workforce campaign increase,” said CAUW Board Chair Scott Berg of Lee Michael’s Fine Jewelry. "The United Way workforce campaign provides an effective way for any person who wants to make a difference in the life of someone else to do so.”
