The Baton Rouge Area Chamber presents Around the Table, a community-wide event that will place 225 participants in twenty different homes for an evening of conversation and connections in the intimate setting of home dinner parties.
Community connectors ranging from King Alexander, Chancellor of LSU, to Casey Phillips of the BR Walls Project, to Whitney Vann and Robert Schneckenburger of WBRZ and Chase Bank have agreed to open their homes on the night of May 1 to host these dinners.
We're hoping these events will connect newcomers with locals and encourage engaging conversation. Each home will host a mix of locals and newcomers with each location focusing on a pre-assigned topic such as "What would you do if you knew you could not fail?” or "Finding new solutions to old problems.”
Participants will be selected at random for each location and will not know the host of their dinner until the week of the event.
