A new report from the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation shows a need for increased communications capacity among policy advocacy organizations.
According to the Foundation report, grantors should consider taking steps to improve the communications reach, quality and capacity of the organizations they fund. These steps include:
- Updating organizational development tools available to grantees
- Expanding grantees' access to communications networks
- Providing organizational development grants for communications
- Deepening the roles of foundation and grantee communications officers
LANO understands this need is mirrored by nonprofits across the mission spectrum and works with funders and organizations to expand nonprofits' communications reach and access to organizational development tools.
