What does violence look like through the eyes of a child?  What happens when children see too much?

Images of disaster are becoming an all too common element of childhood in America and violence is on the rise in Baton Rouge along with surrounding areas.

It’s time to take action by learning how to help children cope while understanding how they interpret violence.

Betsy McAlister Groves, author of Children Who See Too Much, Licensed Social Worker and Founding Director of Child Witness to Violence Project at Boston Medical, will offer rare insight and guidance for adults on how to help children.

Mrs. Groves will speak at a Free and Open to the Public Distinguished Speaker Series Presentation hosted by Academic Distinction Fund (ADF).

The September 13 presentation will include information for parents, teachers, and \others who work with children. Pre-registration is recommended at 225.922.4560 or info@adfbr.org.
