SPEAKER INFO: Lewis Kahn is the founding partner of KSF and serves as t he firm’s managing partner. A substantial portion of Mr. Kahn’s practice is devoted to representing shareholders in connection with losses suffered as a result of securities fraud, and in shareholder derivative litigation, as well as recovering funds in other types of complex litigation.
Mr. Kahn holds a Bachelor’s degree from New York University and received a Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School in 1994. He has been a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association since 1995, and is admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana.
In addition to serving as as one of the lead counsel in the BP Derivative Shareholder litigation, Mr. Kahn currently represents many businesses and nonprofit organizations that have filed claims to recover funds from the approximate $8 billion BP Oil Spill Settlement.
Together with its partners and associates, KSF has recovered over $200 million in recent years for shareholders and firm clients in complex commercial and shareholder litigation.
The law firm of Kahn Swick & Foti, LLC, a LANO member, will host a luncheon at Gino's Restaurant in Baton Rouge on 3/15 at 12:30, to provide LANO members with important information regarding the BP Oil Spill Claims process.
The goal of this event is to educate LANO members of their ability to file BP claims related to any decline in donations, grants or other sources of income following the BP oil spill in 2010.
The event is free for LANO members, and a full lunch will be served.
Attendance at this event is critical for LANO members who may be due funds from the BP settlement. LANO members who can show a loss of revenue in 2010 are encouraged to attend.
