Teepa Snow, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA is an occupational therapist currently working as a dementia care and dementia education specialist. She has clinical appointments with Duke University's School of Nursing and UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Medicine. She provides educational and training sessions to organizations and providers throughout the US & Canada.
Teepa has over 33 years of experience in geriatrics, but she has also provided care to a variety of family members with dementing illnesses. Additionally, she has served as the education director and lead trainer for the Eastern NC Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. She has developed multiple training videos, published many articles, and presents all across the continent on a variety of topics.

Pearls of Wisdom Panel: Understanding Alzheimer’s Medication and Treatment
- Gerald Calegan, MD serves as a neurologist with The NeuroMedical Center and is board certified in neurology. He completed a Fellowship in Movement Disorders, which included training on the treatment of Parkinson's, dystonia, and tremors, along with the placement and programming of deep brain stimulators, as well as special techniques for botox injections for dystonia, tremors, and other neurological disorders.
- William Day, DPh, PD, RPh, FASC is President and CEO for Pharmaceutical Consulting Services of America. Dr. Day was recently appointed to serve as Chairman for the Clinical Protocol Committee for the CMS Dementia Partnership in Louisiana charged with developing a plan of action in obtaining the CMS initiative for the reduction of antipsychotic use in the Long Term Care facilities.
- Navin Patel, MD is the Staff Psychiatrist and Medical Director of the Geriatric Psychiatry Program at Baton Rouge General where he also serves as the Medical Director of Behavioral Wellness. He was been working in geriatric psychiatry for 10 years at Baton Rouge General.
- Susan Richarme, MD specializes in the field of general wellness, prevention, and geriatrics with a focus on comprehensive medical care. She holds certification in Family Practice with added qualifications in Geriatrics issued by the American Board of Family Practice.

Nicholas Abraham, PhD, LPC-S is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Life Coach in private practice at Dr. Nick & Associates. He treats a wide range of clients, including those suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety, relational conflicts and substance abuse. His focus revolves around helping clients find resources, learn life skills, develop better coping strategies and build self-reliance/initiative taking. He holds a Masters of Divinity from Sacred Heart School of Theology, Masters of Religious Studies from Indiana University, and PhD in Counseling from Marquette University in Wisconsin.
