All proceeds from Bowling with Big Buddy will go toward the purchase of and one year's operational expenses for a new Big Buddy bus, which will allow Big Buddy to transport youth to and from tutoring programs and after school activities.

According to Big Buddy Executive Director, Gaylynne Mack, "We are excited to reconnect with our Legacy Buddies, hear what is happening in their lives and discover the people they have become.”

Bowling with Big Buddy is being hosted by Capital City Communications, a student-run communications agency out of the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University (LSU). A group of seven public relations seniors have been working with the Big Buddy program as a service-learning component to their public relations campaigns course at LSU. "We have enjoyed working with the Big Buddy program this semester and are very excited to host the event this weekend,” said Julie Rapp, Event Director for Capital City Communications. "We are expecting a great crowd of Big Buddy supporters and are thrilled our agency was able to help plan such a phenomenal event.”
