When you walk in the shoes of someone else, the empathy and patience gained is immediate and is likely to have a lasting impact.

By gaining a more thorough understanding of the behavioral challenges exhibited by those with dementia, the caregiver is better able to develop improved coping skills and communication. Profound improvements in care can take place when caregivers and healthcare professionals are empowered with knowledge and tools to better understand.
