Major topics to be presented include:

- Local, Regional & Federal Grants Gain in-depth insight into the world of state and federal grants. Provide definitions and requirements local, regional, and federal grants.

- Organizational Funding & Community Needs Learn to review organization’s budget and understand where grants fit into budgetary projections and portfolio. Understand how the grant will impact or provide positive outcomes in the community.

- Grant Proposal & Application Requirements Develop the proposal by learning to ask the subjective and objective questions from the grantor point of view.

- Improving Grant Writing Skills Increase knowledge of the language involved in a grant to better prepare the writer, or the writing team.

PRESENTERS:

SHARON SANDIFER, M.Ed: Sharon is Co-Founder and CEO/Chairwoman of the Board of kiisa, and the creator of the kiisa Training Institute (kti). She obtained a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University. Sharon is the co-author of the newly released business book and training guide entitled, Customer Management: The kiisa Service Cycle, published by Esquire Books, Inc. She is a business leader having held executive positions with large retail corporations in New Orleans, Louisiana and Houston, Texas.

DAVID KIVIAHO: David is Co-Founder and COO/Board Director for kiisa, and the creator of the Speaker’s Bureau for Education and Training (S’BEAT). He attended Southeastern Louisiana University and the University of South Alabama in the study of Liberal arts. David is the co-author of the newly released business book and training guide entitled, Customer Management: The kiisa Service Cycle, published by Esquire Books, Inc. He has served as Vice-President of Operations for a national biomedical firm in the areas of executive management, training, sales, operational budgeting, public relations and marketing.
