Emergent Method is excited to launch a new, eight-month lunch and learn series specifically for emerging leaders of non-profit organizations.
While we work with a variety of organizations – private, public, and non-profit – we know that non-profits face unique challenges in their daily work that is so largely dependent on donors, volunteers, and mission-driven dedication. It is our hope that this new program will allow us to help better position rising leaders and, as a result, their organizations to serve their communities in the best way possible.
Throughout the series, participants will learn skills needed to be successful in leadership roles in organizations that are dependent on donors, volunteers, and mission-driven dedication. Individual session topics will include understanding leadership, management and coaching styles; financial management and effective governance; and staying positive when you have to be tough.
The program, led by Emergent Method Director of Training Julie Laperouse, will accommodate approximately 20 participants and will consist of eight two-hour sessions to be held at the Main Branch of the East Baton Rouge Parish Library on Goodwood Boulevard, beginning on April 27, 2016, and culminating with a closing ceremony on November 16, 2016.
