The Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana (PAR) will hold its 2016 Annual Conference and Luncheon at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Baton Rouge on Friday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Scott Hodge, President of the Tax Foundation in Washington, D.C. will be the keynote speaker addressing “Presidential Politics and the Challenges of Tax Reform.” Mr. Hodge is one of Washington’s leading experts on tax policy, the federal budget and government spending. 10-11:30 a.m. – Panel Discussion on the future of Louisiana

12-1:30 p.m. – Luncheon with Keynote Speaker Scott Hodge with special remarks from Governor John Bel Edwards Where: Crowne Plaza Hotel, Baton Rouge Event: PAR Annual Conference and Luncheon: Keynote speech by Scott Hodge, President of the Tax Foundation in Washington, D.C. Mr. Hodge is one of Washington’s leading experts on tax policy, the federal budget and government spending. During his tenure, the Tax Foundation has more than doubled in size and become one of the most influential organizations on tax policy in Washington and in state capitals. Mr. Hodge will be speaking on the topic: “Presidential Politics and the Challenges of Tax Reform.” The Luncheon will also include special remarks from Governor John Bel Edwards.

 

Panel discussion from 10-11:30 a.m. will focus on “Louisiana’s Future: The Possibilities and Pitfalls.” The panel will be moderated by Robert Travis Scott, PAR President and will feature the following panelists: Rep. Taylor Barras Speaker of the House Sen. Jean-Paul Morrell Chairman of the Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Committee Erin Monroe Wesley Special Counsel to Gov. John Bel Edwards Jeremy Alford Publisher-Editor, LAPolitics Cost: $75 for members and $85 for non-members (includes luncheon and conference).
