Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Associations (LANO) is proud to partner with the Society of Louisiana CPAs (LCPA), Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR), and Ochsner for a free, live webcast on the impact of the new sales and use tax laws, many of which impact Louisiana nonprofits and schools (some for the first time), which took effect April 1, 2016 and will change again on July 1, 2016.
We will be joined by LDR representatives, David Hansen, attorney with the Policy Services Division of LDR, and Peggy Parker, Sales Tax Research Analyst with LDR’s Tax Administration Division. (See bios below.)

About the Speakers:
David M. Hansen
Attorney, Policy Services Division
Louisiana Department of Revenue
David Hansen is a staff attorney in the Policy Services Division of the Louisiana Department of Revenue. He previously served as a staff attorney in the Litigation Division of the Louisiana Department of Revenue, Hearing Officer in the Audit Protest Bureau of the Louisiana Department of Revenue, and Appeals Officer in the Office of Appeals of the Internal Revenue Service.
Mr. Hansen received his B.S. in Management from the Louisiana State University Ourso College of Business and his J.D. from the Louisiana State University Hebert School of Law. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association (Tax Section) and the Baton Rouge Bar Association.
Peggy N. Parker
Sales Tax Research Analyst, Tax Administration Division
Louisiana Department of Revenue
Peggy Parker is a sales tax research analyst in the Tax Administration of the Louisiana Department of Revenue. She previously served as an audit reviewer in the Audit Review Division of the Louisiana Department of Revenue, an auditor in the Field Audit Sales Tax Division, and revenue tax auditor in the Sales Tax Division of the Louisiana Department of Revenue. Ms. Parker received her B.S. in Business Education from the Louisiana State University Ourso College of Business and completed the CPA Preparatory Program at LSU.
