Department of Children and Family Services Secretary Ruth Johnson invites state nonprofits, particularly those with human and child service missions, to attend an upcoming discussion sponsored by the Picard Center for Child Development and Lifelong Learning about how inter-agency data collaborations can help agency leaders and policymakers monitor the impacts of services on the vulnerable children of our state.
The event will be held on June 29th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the 9th floor of the Iberville Building, 627 N. 4th St., Baton Rouge.
Participants in this public meeting will discuss:
- A federally supported inter-agency research partnership tying TANF-funded fatherhood supports to improved child support payments and the well-being outcomes of children;
- The implications of this research on leveraging limited state dollars while improving the lives of children from low-income families;
- A federal funding opportunity to help all state agencies use better data tools to tie state services to the outcomes of children.
DCFS encourages you to invite any stakeholders who might be interested to attend the event as well.
Please download related flyer for additional details. To RSVP for the discussion, please contact Kasey Patin at 337-482-1562 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
