Technical Assistance and Organizational Assessments Available Free in Select Parishes

Only organizations in the following parishes may apply:

  • Ascension
  • Assumption
  • Calcasieu
  • Cameron
  • East Baton Rouge
  • Iberia
  • Iberville
  • Jefferson
  • Lafourche
  • Livingston
  • Orleans
  • Plaquemines
  • Point Coupee
  • Rapides
  • St. Bernard
  • St. Landry
  • St. Mary
  • St. Tammany
  • Terrebonne
  • Vermillion

Governance assessments, retreat facilitation and technical assistance is now available free of charge to nonprofits in 20 parishes affected by the 2005 and 2008 storms.

During the final months of 2011, LANO will provide up to 40 nonprofit organizations with one-on-one organizational development services aimed at strengthening their operations and governance.

These services are being underwritten by the Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit.

Applying organizations must be located within one of 20 designated parishes (see listing at right) and have:

  • 501c3 status
  • Proof of address such as phone bill or lease
  • Participants receiving technical assistance including board members and staff will be required by the funder to complete a household LMI form

Complete your application TODAY! Participants will be selected on a first-come first-served basis.

Applications are being accepted through October 7, 2011. Only complete applications with all the required attachments will be accepted.

These services are being provided with funding from the Louisiana Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit. This funding enables LANO to deliver our unique governance assessment and improvement planning at no cost to nonprofit organizations serving communities affected by the 2005 and 2008 storms.
