Unique Educational Resource Provided to State Nonprofits by BCBS of Louisiana Foundation

Free access to a unique online database of nonprofit management book summaries, timely articles, author interviews and topic-centered training is now available to all General and Associate members of the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations for the duration of 2012.
The year-long subscriptions to Colorado publisher CausePlanet's 'Page to Practice' database represent a $95 value each and will be provided free of charge to over 1,300 LANO member organizations and their staff starting this month.
New and renewing LANO members will also receive the benefit, which is scheduled to end in January 2013.
The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation, a LANO member, seeks to improve the management and mission success of nonprofits through the association's statewide member network. Foundation Director Christy Oliver Reeves expressed her excitement for this sponsorship opportunity, which will also benefit the Foundation's dozens of Angel Award winners.
"It's a pleasure to bring the benefits of LANO membership and this unique educational resource to our Angels," said Reeves. "The Foundation is dedicated to supporting those individuals and nonprofits that are so critical to our efforts at improving the health and wellbeing of all Louisianans."
The annual BCBSLAF Angel Award recognizes outstanding volunteer service on behalf of Louisiana's children. The Foundation recently granted a year of LANO membership to its dozens of current and past Angel honorees in order to support the growth and success of their charitable work.
Annual subscriptions to CausePlanet's Page to Practice database will be available to LANO members starting January 23, 2012.
Two scheduled webinars, January 25 at 10:30 AM and February 1 at 2:00 PM, will lead LANO members and interested public through the system and its resources.
A monthly series of topic-centered webinars, summary highlights and author interviews will also be provided exclusively to LANO members in 2012 as part of the negotiated agreement.
