Matt directs LANO’s print and electronic communications, media relations, and membership growth and benefits. LANO’s Public Relations team works to improve the value of LANO for its members and to position the nonprofit sector as an effective, accountable provider of important human and cultural services to the people of Louisiana. Mullenix previously led public relations for the LSU Office of Research & Economic Development, promoting the university’s $150 million research endeavor and strengthening its ties to government and industry. He is former Managing Editor of LSU Research magazine, and a freelance writer, editor and webmaster. Mullenix holds a bachelor’s in Sociology from Valdosta State University, in Valdosta, Georgia.
