New Fundraising Survey to Measure Gains Against Goals

Posted By Matthew Mullenix, Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations, Tuesday, February 25, 2014

A new survey by the Nonprofit Research Collaborative is designed to ask questions few have answers to.

For example:

What percent of funds come from different donor types?

Who is getting bequests and how much?

What specific fundraising methods are working, and which are not?

A report to be published and shared with LANO members at the end of March, 2014, will compare results and fundraising activities against goals for amount to raise, a vital metric we think is more useful than just knowing that "giving increased."

Please help the nonprofit sector by participating in this survey.  People who complete the survey by FEBRUARY 28 will be eligible to enter drawing for incentives, including $100 cash cards.

The Nonprofit Research Collaborative formed in 2010 to reduce the survey burden on nonprofit organizations. Our work focuses on charitable receipts at nonprofit organizations and the factors that drive success in fundraising.
