To Be or Not to Be a 501(c)(3)

Starting a nonprofit organization can be an inspiring way to give back to your community and help those in need. However, it is important to understand all of the steps involved in this process before moving forward. Growing and sustaining a nonprofit may take years of effort and a great deal of determination.

 

Join Sarah Cortell Vandersypen, CFRE on October 23, 2018 from 2-4:00 PM for an overview of how and why to start a nonprofit. The pros and cons of being a 501(c)3 will be covered. Participants will be introduced to the steps for filing the 1023 application and how to file with the Secretary of State’s office and the IRS.
