The Nonprofit Finance training hosted by the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations will cover core competencies required for a nonprofit organization to have accurate budgets, set best practice standards and policies, as well as integrate software to increase efficiency around financial tasks.

 

The training sessions are free to nonprofit 501c3 staff and board, and will be 5 hours long.

9:00 am – 2:00 pm

 

Financial Self-Assessment

Participants will take an in-class Financial Self-Assessment and then reviewed as a group.

 

Financial Best Practices and Ethics

This section will cover separation of duties, policies and controls, 990s, audits, whistleblower, conflict of interest, check authorization, lines of credit, reimbursement procedures and other nonprofit financial best practices.

 

Banking Tools for Nonprofits

Capital One will lead a demonstration on how virtual escrow accounts can increase efficiency and financial transparency as a nonprofit.
