How do you navigate the toughest and most important relationship in nonprofit management: Between you, your Board Chair and members?

According to author William Mott, the leadership you collectively provide, and a positive relationship, can "mean the difference between living out your mission or going out of existence!"

Yet more often than not, these relationships are dysfunctional.

How can you strengthen your relationship with your board chair and board, focus on your mission and avoid negativity?

Join CausePlanet founder and publisher Denise McMahan for this essential conversation with author William (Bill) Mott, Ph.D., who can give you sound advice and practical answers from the trenches about building a positive relationship with your board.

In this author interview, we'll touch on the highlights from Mott's book, The Board Game: A Story of Hope and Inspiration for CEOs and Governing Boards.

  • Discover tools and skills to meet ongoing challenges working with a volunteer board.
  • Develop the single most important relationship needed for organizational success.
  • Identify which board members have the best interest of the organization at heart.
