In October, Cook, Yancey, King, & Galloway led a training on human resource issues for the nonprofit sector.   We had several organizations asking for more training on the FMLA Act.  On Friday, December 12, 2014 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm they will host a free training and lunch at their offices,  333 Texas St., Suite 1700.  This training will focus on organizations with more than 50 employees.

Laura Fleming,  labor and employment attorney, will untangle the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).  She will be covering the FMLA facts;

·         what triggers FMLA

·         who is eligible for FMLA

·         what obligations employees have under FMLA

·         how intermittent FMLA works

·         what obligations the employer has once FMLA is exhausted

·         and much more!

Please send your RSVP by Wednesday, December 10,  to with the number of people attending from your organization.  We will need your RSVP for lunch count and handouts.
