Information on the Speaker:

Laura Claverie Poche’ is a board certified estate planning and administration specialist in the state of Louisiana. She has been called a “passionate planner” because she advocates to all of her clients the importance of getting your legal affairs in order as soon as possible. She discovered very early in her legal career that clients who are proactive with their estate planning are much more likely to leave a legacy to loved ones which maintains family harmony, incurs minimal cost and time, and reduces stress and anxiety.

Laura grew up on the West Bank of New Orleans in Gretna. In 1986, Laura graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Quantitative Business Analysis. In 1989, she earned her law degree from LSU Law School. While at LSU, Laura met her husband, Jay. After marrying in New Orleans, they moved back to Baton Rouge in 1990. Since then, she has worked for some top law firms and attorneys in the State of Louisiana.

Laura furthered her knowledge of estate planning, real estate law and personal wealth management by attaining the designation of estate planning and administration specialist by the Louisiana State Bar Association, being a licensed title insurance agent/title attorney for the state of Louisiana, and being a licensed securities representative by FINRA.

Laura and Jay have three sons, Trey (at St. Louis University), Lewis (at Catholic High School) and Lane (at St. Aloysius Catholic School) who are the “apples of her eye”. In addition to keeping up with the busy lives of all her boys, Laura enjoys helping others through her involvement in several non-profit organizations focused on education initiatives, poverty prevention and attaining self-sufficiency in Baton Rouge.
