In an effort to help our community nonprofits, Baton Rouge Parents Magazine is compiling a Nonprofit Wish List to be published in the December issue.

In December 2010, the magazine published a Nonprofit Wish List that highlighted some local nonprofit organizations and created good response from the public, so Baton Rouge Parents Magazine wanted to expand on it and publish again.

Said editor Kimberly Fortner, "During the holiday season many of our readers are looking for places to donate needed items, especially to places that serve the community."

If you would like to be included in the list, email with a wish list for your nonprofit by November 13.

Items might include office supplies, computers or playground equipment. Please include information about your organization and the service you provide to the community.

Depending on the number of agencies who respond, some may be listed only on the magazine's website, which will be referenced in this special printed section.

"Help us help you," said Fortner, "and you just might get what you need this holiday season."
