on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the L'Auberge Casino in Baton Rouge.  


This year's one-day intensive conference will focus on Collaboration.

Morning Keynote Speaker


Michael Brown


For 17 years, Michael has brought leadership, perspective and passion to approaches that improve health and well-being outcomes for communities in the greater Seattle region. His time as a legislative aide at Seattle City Council and in community development are pillars of his deep commitment to working with communities for equitable outcomes.

A seasoned grantmaker, Michael was recognized with the 2018 Terrance Keenan Leadership Award in Health Philanthropy, presented by Grantmakers In Health. Prior to joining SeaFdn, Michael served as a legislative aide to City of Seattle Councilmember Richard McIver and Deputy Director for the Washington Association for Community Economic Development. He received his Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola University (New Orleans). Michael is president of the Building Changes Board of Directors, chair of the Neighborhood Funders Group Board of Directors, a commissioner at the King County Housing Authority, and a board member of the Washington State Budget and Policy Center.

Michael has been working at Seattle Foundation since 2001.

 Chad Dudley


Chad Dudley was born in Southern California and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He grew up playing competitive tennis at a national level and at the age of 15 was awarded a scholarship to the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy (now IMG Academies) in Bradenton, Florida. He finished high school in Florida and moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to accept a tennis scholarship at Louisiana State University.


After obtaining his undergraduate degree at LSU, Chad attended the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center where he received his law degree.


From his very first job out of law school, Chad has always represented those who have been injured by others and need help recovering from those events.


In 2009, Chad Dudley, along with his partners Steven DeBosier and James Peltier, formed the law firm of Dudley DeBosier Injury Lawyers.  Since that date, the firm has grown from a few attorneys and few employees, to over 170 employees and nearly 50 attorneys across Louisiana. During that time, the firm has been privileged to help tens of thousands of individuals throughout the state after an injury.


Additionally in 2009, Chad formed Vista Consulting, which is a consulting firm dedicated to helping other plaintiff personal injury firms run more efficiently. For nearly a decade, Chad worked with nearly 100 personal injury firms across the country on making their firms better. He is regarded as an authority on the topic of law firm management and is a frequent speaker at national conferences.


In 2017, Chad left Vista Consulting to take the position of CEO at cj Advertising. Chad is excited to take his years of experience in helping firms grow and apply it at cj.

Cancellation or No Show Policy


We understand that there are times when you must miss a LANO training due to an obligation or emergency. However, when you do not cancel your reservation more than 7 days before the beginning of conference, you may be preventing another person from attending.


Whenever a situation arises which prevents you from attending a training, you must inform one of the training’s organizers more than 7 days before the start of conference in order to receive a refund.


Any cancellation that is made within the 7 days preceding the start of the training will be eligible for a transfer of the registration fee- the amount can be applied to another LANO training of your choosing.


We hope you understand that our staff and guest lecturers’ time is important and that our trainings are valuable, for this reason we cannot issue refunds or registration fee transfers for no shows.
